The American Cancer Society is the national philanthropy of our sorority. We believe that cancer awareness, early detection and cancer research are extremely important health issues in our communities. We participate and fundraise for events such as Making Strides and Relay For Life.
Habitat for Humanity, is an international, non-governmental, and nonprofit organization, which was founded in 1976. Habitat has been devoted to building "simple, decent, and affordable" housing, a self-described "Christian housing ministry," and has addressed the issues of poverty housing all over the world.
In addition to holding social and fundraising events and serving the community, KDChi pushes you to do your best, especially academically because being a student is our top priority. In order to be a KDChi sister in good standing, it is required that sisters maintain at least a 2.75 GPA. However, most our sisters exceed that requirement. Some of the many ways KDChi helps sisters manage their schoolwork is by attending study hours every week, submitting grade checks, participating in academic seminars, and supporting each sister academically.
